Sangokushi II: Haou no Tairiku is a strategy game NAMCO released for the Famicom on June 10, 1992 — the sequel to Sangokushi: Chugen no Hasha (1988). Pick a warlord in the fracturing twilight of the Han dynasty, and chase a single goal: sweep the rivals away and unify China.

The game advances in turns along three interlocking tracks — domestic affairs, diplomacy and war. Develop your provinces, recruit free officers, forge alliances or break them; duel enemy commanders in single combat, fight field battles and sieges, capture and persuade defeated officers, and keep your own men loyal. Every turn is a decision, and every general a piece on the board.

In the 1990s the game swept China through FC consoles and Subor learning machines under the name “Ba Wang De Da Lu” — “The Hegemon's Continent” — becoming a first taste of the Three Kingdoms for an entire generation. Its ROM-hacking scene is alive to this day: story remakes, rebalanced rosters, battle-focused variants, even Water Margin heroes crossing over, with the community forums still buzzing. This site is a nonprofit fan archive dedicated to those hacks.
