The sixteen tactics (SP in the table)

| 02 | 陷阱 | 5 | Against enemies on mountains or forest; drains the enemy general’s stamina. |
| 03 | 虚兵 | 4 | Against enemies on mountains or forest; pins movement (usually one round). |
| 04 | 要击 | 6 | Against enemies on mountains or forest; weak when cast by a low-Valor general. |
| 05 | 乱水 | 7 | Against enemies in the water. |
| 06 | 火箭 | 8 | Targets the enemy commander; burns army provisions. |
| 07 | 伪击转杀 | 8 | Against enemies inside a city; must be adjacent. |
| 08 | 共杀 | 8 | Against 2+ adjacent enemy units; the target must be on mountain or forest (the others anywhere). |
| 09 | 笼络 | 10 | Sways low-loyalty enemy officers (best under 70). |
| 10 | 落石 | 9 | While on a mountain or in a city with an adjacent enemy: kills troops and drains stamina. |
| 11 | 连环 | 9 | Against 2+ adjacent units all in water; pins several units for multiple rounds. |
| 12 | 十面埋伏 | 9 | Cast from a forest at the cost of 100 of your own troops; enemies entering it suffer heavily. |
| 13 | 水攻 | 11 | Against 2+ adjacent units all in water. |
| 14 | 连弩 | 9 | While defending a city, against adjacent or nearby enemies. |
| 15 | 劫火 | 12 | Against 2+ adjacent enemy units (not in cities). Only Zhou Yu, Sima Yi, Pang Tong and Zhuge Liang can cast it. |
| 16 | 奇门遁甲 | 10 | Against enemies on mountain, forest, plain or desert; pins movement and drains ~100 troops per day. Zhuge Liang only. |
